I love this film so much. It used to creep me out as a kid and still does to this day. I recently visited NYC and while we went downtown to see the Ghostbusters fire station I dragged my partner to visit the diner from C.H.U.D. It looks very different now but it was so cool being there. That part of the city still has that grimey look and feel that C.H.U.D captures.

I was a NYPD Cop (1982-2002) . I was assigned to the 105 Precinct Jan 1983 until Nov 1997 .

That's awesome! It's on the corner of Kenmare St and Cleveland Pl. it's now called The Corner Deli, it's a shame you cannot upload photos here or I'd put up the pix.
