so i heard about the chud 2 movie from the people on we hate movies podcast.
so i thought i better check the original out first.
and wow.
so many good actors.
and so well made movie.
im amazed that this isnt regarded higher than gremlins.
this was a stellar movie.
but beware that there is a scene where a dog is dead.
i didnt look at it so i hope it was fake.
I agree. I just watched it again for the first time in many years. It was better than I had remembered it. The whole thing is really sold through the acting.

When I first saw it on HBO like a year after it was made, I knew none of the actors. So when I watched it, I did think, 'Dang, for a horror movie, these guys have some real talent.' It turns out they had talent period.
Also worked with a guy that had a scene that was cut in this.
I would note way back in the day I did a little comedy story paying homage to the CHUD thing by having people run into them in the sewer (since everyone expected to run into rabid albino alligators, the usual denizens of an urban sewer :). Was stunned by the number of people on the mailing list that remembered the movie, and most of them were stunned that anyone else remembered it as well.
