I don't understand why some people don't like this movie. It has monsters coming out of the sewers to eat people. The monsters look absolutely awesome. They have Glowing yellow eyes, sharp teeth, long claws, and can stretch out their necks. I love this movie. It's a classic.
shareI agree. After watching it again recently, my only gripe is that I wish there were a few more scenes with the monsters. Because they really made the movie. Other than that, it was a great, hidden 80's horror gem.

In my opinion, the "real" monster was Wilson, who was ultimately responsible for everything that happened to the city of NY. There were plenty of scenes with him.

I just wish they introduced the C.H.U.D.'s a bit earlier in the story, so we could've enjoyed them a little more. They're easily in my top ten scariest movie monsters list.

I also thought there could have been more of the monsters. And for humanoids they didn't look human enough.
