Yesterdays classic to today's sci fi horror films

All I can say is they dont make them like they use too.Compared to the crap the movie producers spew out today makes this movie like it should be a top award winner. This movie has a good story to it,not just kill, blood, kill, gore, kill, kill, blood, gore,,well I think you get my drift.A little brief scary moments in the beginning along with character development and story situations.Leading up to the ultimate horror ending. If you are looking for continuous action, from beginning to end you will not get it in this movie but it sure has its creepy moments along the way.Movies do not have to have over the top blood and gore to make them scary as hell.Just enough to make it all realistic and only in brief moments..I love it!!

I can never understand why people find blood spilling and over the top grotesque gore scary or even remotely entertaining. I think its sadistic and trying too hard but failing miserably, thats why I stick to old school horror cause I dig the atmospheric eeriness in those movies.

Blood and gore are great devices, the problem is that people try to make a movie around them and they usually fail. But if you have a good story with a great atmosphere then the blood and gore does actually increase the entertainment value of that movie. sadly not too many studios think about this :P
