CHUD fans, check it out...

i saw this on vhs in probably 85/86, i was around 11 or 12yrs old. it scared the livin hell out of me and i have an occasional nightmare about it to this day. i've become very intrested in whats actually under nyc. i've read "the mole people" by toth, and "the tunnel" by morton, great books. preston and child have a book out called "reliquary", very reminiscent of this movie, it's actually a sequal to the book "relic" which was made into the movie "the relic". anyway, there is a great site where you can learn all about the movie from the horse's mouth, www.chudfacts.com . this movie was never meant to be a low budget flick, just turned out that way, check out the site. and steer clear of any manholes! lol.
