Was Shirley MacLaine high when she agreed to do this?
This is okay as a comedy, if you're a Hal Needham fan and like Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise, but Shirley MacLaine was just coming off "Terms of Endearment."
Unless she was in dire need of money or needed something light to balance out the heavy she had just finished playing, I have no idea why someone of her caliber would have reduced themselves to this.
