But my main reasoning for venturing in here was to ask if anyone, besides myself, thought the pairing of the couples were off? I initially assumed Marilu Henner was going to be with Burt and then they twisted things on me and placed him with Shirley MacLaine.

Who really cares. The entire film AND its script were garbage. The top stars obviously did it for the paycheck. I remember the film bombed after its release. I was curious, after all these years, to watch it again, for the hey of it, but ended up fast fwd a lot, growing impatiently bored, wanting it to get better....which it didn't.

Ironic how trolls and/or other think they r pulling 1 on us but yet they r playing themselves by posting stupid comments claiming how they hate/etc a certain subject. If u don't like it why venture to a site/etc about it???

Is it me or does it look like Shirley McClaine is only wearing underwear when they come out of the store after changing?

There's no way Dom's character would have gotten Marilu in real life. Thank God they only cuddled and never made out. The couples were mismatched. Marilu would have been better with Burt. But then again, the two played a married couple a few years later on "Evening Shade," so I guess it all worked out.
And, yes, Shirley McLaine did look like she was only wearing underwear when she came out of the convenience store. Either that, or the shortest pair of short shorts that was ever invented.
I never understood why SM did this movie. She was on an Oscar high at the time, and she seemed miscast.

I just saw this movie on late night tv a week or so ago and thought it was one of the worst pieces of crap I'd ever seen and yes, I too found it's page on IMDB and came here to post.
And you want to know why? Because sometimes the horror is just so profound you just have to talk about it. You have to at least try to warn others to stay away. THAT'S why.
