The thread about Lynch walking out of interviews has been deleted!

I loved that thread and I mourn its passing.

Does anyone know if it was really true that Lynch would walk out of an interview if the interviewer mentioned the word 'Dune'?

It seems possible because my brother was once on a bus and Lynch was by chance in the seat behind. My brother was talking on his cell phone about his forthcoming trip to Europe and when it was going to happen. He said "June" and at that point Lynch happy slapped him.

Tosca isn't for everyone.

No, i don't believe he ever did, i have often seen and read interviews with him where he talks about Dune where sometimes he is the one who brings it up. I however never heard him ever speak kindly about the film.

😦😦😦OMG, I came here to read it one last time before IMDb shuts down the boards. That thread was a MASTERPIECE. Some of the funniest, inventive and most clever stories about how David Lynch would hear anything related to Dune and go into a full rage. 😟.

Glad this party-poopy IMDb site is downsizing, hopefully down to zero users.

To quote George Taylor; You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!

You can't palm off a second-rater on me. You gotta remember I was in the pink!

No, that thread was a storytelling piece of art! Find it! Bring it back!

So Lynch was down Cape Cod, relaxing on the beach. These youths drove up in jazzy jeep and asked him if he wanted to tour the dunes. Next thing, Lynch was kicking sand in their eyes and tossing shells at them. It was an ugly scene. Children were evacuated to a safe zone by the lifeguards.

I remember that thread! Funniest thread ever on the old IMDb

The new Dune needs its own thread.

“Denis Villeneuve walked out on an interview when….”

reply

I do remember this thread.

The comment that stuck with me was that Lynch insists on call June "pre-July".
