did they really need lights and sirens
on their car? was busting a ghost ever really emergency? they never shown one being that bad of a case that they had to hustle to the scene.

They were driving around with four unlicensed nuclear accelerators onboard - it was probably to keep people out of the way!
sharePlease correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm under the impression that New York has rather a lot of traffic, and that the only way to get anywhere fast is to use lights and sirens.
Which BTW is probably not legal, for a private business that isn't part of the official governmental emergency response system.
