Was there a film where you liked Ralph Macchio's character?

I've noticed so many Daniel haters here. Very well. But were there any of his other movies where you like him?

I liked him in The Outsiders. Believe it or not, his name was 'Johnny' in that film. He didn't need NO karate since he was stabbing people in it. He was also fighting the SAME type of rich boys that we see in The Karate Kid.

I remember when he was in Eight is Enough. He was brought in at some point towards the end of the series, sort of like Oliver in The Brady Bunch.
