Daniel's mother

I REALLY didnt like this woman. She obviously wasnt very bright, embarrasses her son needlessly many times for no real reason, but she has a good heart, f that!

No wonder his father left.

What is really strange is how defax hasn't taken away Daniel yet.

Here's a woman who has no job and has a son that shows up to school with black eyes, hangs around an old man who exploits him for free labor and lets him drink alcohol, encourages him to partake in violence, and many other things that endanger his well-being.

Okay, so she finally gets a job...but did she really have to move cross country to get a job at a restaurant? She clearly has something off about her.

What's funny about that is the whole subplot of her moving across the country to get a computer job, only to have that go bad and so she ends up in a restaurant. That chain of events has absolutely no impact on the plot. It would have been more efficient, and played to the actual story better, if she'd just had the computer job and been really busy with the learning curve and the new company and all, and so had less time to see what was really going on with her son.

Stop insulting this woman, she was so sweet and nice, I liked her a lot, I thought she was great in this movie, I mean in real life she could have passed for his mother, their faces looked very similar to each other.

At least she had the sense to leave New Jersey and move close to Hollywood, so that the location scenes could be filmed more conveniently. And Mr. Miyagi gave her one of his precious Bonsai plants, so he must have recognized some remnant of inner beauty in her.
