Not bad...but it needed more 'ooomph'....

...and I dont mean explosions or action so save those replies. The wife and I enjoyed the character build-up and we felt somewhat bad for Aziz. But overall it just felt underwhelming and the conflict never really showcased very much tension. The court case didnt have much to it either and it all seemed to resolve too quickly. So, decent build-up, good production values but a little too "oh well" of an ending.

Not sure how to say it other than I needed more tension, more drama. Perhaps this is a case where too much had to be stripped from the novel to really "get into" everything going on. The flick was already close to 3 hours and thats pretty much the maximum or you have to do two movies.

Still, not a bad flick.

I still give it a 8.5/9ish out of 10. But with a better, well-rounded ending, this could have been a 10.
