New autobiography sheds light on Lean and his films
Eddie Fowlie's autobiography, DAVID LEAN'S DEDICATED MANIAC - MEMOIRS OF A FILM SPECIALIST, is due out in the UK on December 20. Price 9.99 GBP (Austin & Macauley publishers).
Eddie worked on all of David Lean's epics and the book reveals much about his working and personal relationship with Lean as well as recounting his experiences with a raft of other legendary film directors and actors.
There are special chapters on the filming of Lawrence, as well as The Bridge on the River Kwai, Doctor Zhivago, Ryan's Daughter and Passage to India.
