is Bridges really considering a sequel?

it would probably be one long "chase" film.
it would have to be a better plot than that!

reply

I certainly hope not!

Its that man again!!

reply

they already did that in the TV show

reply

That's quite interesting really. Not sure how they'd do it but I'm assuming the focus would be on the child ? Never saw Starman the TV series - perhaps it was never shown outside the USA ? But I'd like to see what happened next.

reply

Maybe it will be darker and more serious like the nolan Batman movies.

I think a sequel could be good.

They'd have to dig up a charismatic 30-ish actor to play Scott Jr (The Baby).

Hemsworth might fit the role.

Bridges, Karen Allen and Charles Martin Smith could probably all reprise their roles.

This is one movie I'd actually be open to a sequel to but how could Jeff Bridges reprise his role? Yeah, he could have changed his mind about never seeing Jenny again but if he did come back, how would he know to age himself 30 years? Since Scott died in his 30's, "Starman" would only know that image so how could they work it so that "Starman" would look the same age as Jeff Bridges currently does? Even if they could finagle that, I'd be worried that "Starman" would decide to stay on Earth with Jenny and their son, which would seem out of character and a little soap opera-ish.

Starman only saw adult Scott yet before he reached that appropriate age and he went through speed aging from infant to adult. I assume Starman's body was more or less identical to Scott's with a few quirks perhaps.

You say charismatic, then breathe Chris Hemsworth in the next sentence. Lol, I don't think that word means what you think it means. :)
