Matt shouldn't be able to get up

Think about it.

A computer with no reflexes, because it is not human - this means there's no lag or delay between what it decides to do and its action. It should be able to calculate trajectories, physical mass, muscle contractions and all that stuff to predict anyone's position at any given millisecond, adjusting it in real time, so it can't be surprised or sucker-punched, because it sees it coming.

Think about you being able to think so fast you see everyone and everything move in extremely slow motion, and you being able to see the 'future' of the motion as well, so you can not only predict everything everyone is going to do based on their trajectories, inertia, mass movements, muscle movements and so on, but you should be able to also PREVENT their movements and INTERCEPT everything ANYONE tries to do faster than they can blink their eyes.

There's no delay or lag, so why would Matt EVER be able to get up - he shouldn't even be able to say 'whoa' before his mouth is full of metal fist, he shouldn't be able to move his body enough to get up before the machine would already have prevented it. The machine lives in the world of milliseconds or smaller increments, people, their actions, thoughts and reactions are EXTREMELY slow by comparison, Matt should never be able to get up, because the machine would be able to predict Matt's bodily movements and prevent him from getting enough balance to be able to even get up at all.

This of course means, Matt shouldn't be able to even hit him with the lamp, or even grab the lamp.

Of course a terminating machine would NOT waste its time, resources, efforts, etc. by throwing someone around or letting them run towards them like that, they would not only INTERCEPT the run with a PERFECTLY timed and done strike that puts them off balance, they would also not have let Matt get up AT ALL, and they would've been able to INCAPACITATE Matt before Matt can even open his eyes, and kill him quickly, effectively and even silently by just hitting acupoints or at least punching him in the throat or heart or at least strangling him immediately.

No need for the 'throw him around the room'-crap, what machine would choose THAT ineffective strategy? These are supposed to be EFFICIENT KILLING MACHINES, not some 'bad martial artists'!

On the same token, Kyle should NEVER be able to hit the machine with the pipe and land that hit anywhere near its 'head' - think how fast Bruce Lee would've been able to counter those hits, and this is FASTER than Bruce Lee could ever have been, because it's a robot, so it has no lag or delays between reaction and action and ..

Well, it's obvious the writers never thought about these things much, which is the case of pretty much all movies, but these things still piss me off when I think what WOULD have happened and then watch the REALLY stupid 'movie version' of events.

How do you know there's no lag? You didn't design the fu***** thing (sorry wrong cborg/robot movie)
And he could be sucker punched/hit say from behind.

Ever heard of predators playing with their prey?

Since when are machines The Flash? Has no one ever dodged a car or runaway forklift? Every single person in the course of human history that was in the path of a runaway machine been hit, had their arm sliced, something dropped on them, etc? They all died? Even the fastest car doesn't go from zero to can kill a man speed in milliseconds. No delay or lag? Since when?

reply

We don't know how fast it could process, and it has to take in all the surroundings and moving people/objects in real time.

reply

We really don't know how advanced the T-800 really is, those "facts" are just suppositions yours.

Was't Matt also a terminator?
