If there was a cast member who got treated like dirt it was Jeremy Miller. After he stopped being cute they brought in Ashley Johnson as baby sister Chrissy. Then they brought in Leonardo DiCaprio to be the new teen hearthrob to replace Kirk Cameron.
shareWhat I never understood is why they made him wear glasses. Not that there's anything wrong with glasses but a teen heartthrob never wears glasses. He was never going to be a Kirk Cameron but they did him no favors by making him don specs.
shareThe fact is they could never put Jeremy Miller on television long enough to do even one show based on his character because he was such an incredibly atrocious actor! Delivering almost every single line he had in the entire series with a smirk or a smile on his face no matter how serious the discussion seem to be!Ugggghhhh I just wanted to slap that smile right off his face!
shareHe had some good moments, like the episode where his dad said he was no Einstien and he had to act hurt. Also, the one where his mom homeschools him and he had to tell her he liked being homeschooled but felt like a momma's boy. My favorite though are the scenes with Chrissy like when they were trapped in the storm. They wrote his character as all goofy and everything he said involved girls, driving illegally, breaking curfew or food.
