The opening gambit

Rewatching this show on MeTV these days, starting from the beginning. Some of the episodes (I think the 1st season ones) have an opening gambit scene, with lots of adventure and Mac getting out of a very sticky situation... usually on some secret mission somewhere.

Wish more episodes had this opening gambit. Half the time they're just as interesting as the actual plot.

I recently started watching the show from the beginning too. Netflix has the entire run available to stream. Those cold opens, or opening gambits, are really fun. Reminds me of the James Bond franchise, and like those films sometimes the cold opens are more interesting. :-)
