What were the 'very special episodes'

I know this program had a lot of them:

The one where Wesley almost gets molested
The one where Heather almost gets raped
The one where Wesley's friend was illiterate and he helped him learn to read
Wesley's friend has AIDS

reply

The Consoler
Homecoming
Paper Mill
Wesley's Friend

On the DVD one of the producers admits that the only episode that was truly special to them was the AIDS episode, which was produced when a child of a member of the production crew contracted aids from a blood transfusion. All of the other "special" episodes were done simply for promotion purposes.

Actually Jeff Stein did not say that on the DVD, but in an interview promoting it. http://www.macleans.ca/authors/jaime-weinman/tv-on-dvd-notes-on-mr-bel vedere-from-the-executive-producer/

Even if true the show helped me as a kid understand what a lot of things like date rape, sexual molestation, AIDS, were. It was written in a way that I could watch it and ask my mom and dad the right questions afterwards. Watching again as an adult I find these episodes well done with the right balance of good taste and honesty.

True, but I was just listing the special episodes I knew about. I'm sure there were far more than 4 to this series.
