What does the "T" stand for in Wesley T. Owen's name?

I know there are a lot of times that Wesley refers to himself as Wesley T. Owens. What does the "T" stand for? Just wondering in case it was ever mentioned.

I think it is Thomas. Seems like I head them say it once. I may be wrong but that's what I think

Around that time, almost every TV character had that enigmatic middle initial, for example: James T. Kirk, Robert T. Ironside, James T. West, etc.
