Why didn't the streaks on the china never matter before?
Why didn't even Marsha care?
shareFunny thread title. I love the lyrics from the theme song. Obviously, it is meant in jest that the family was not as proper or class-conscious before Mr. Belvedere came into their lives.
shareActually, the lyrics weren't custom made for the show. They were recycled from a rejected NBC pilot named Help, which was resurrected as Marblehead Manor in syndication.
shareI did not realize that. Thanks for the great bit of trivia!
The song certainly fits this show and its premise like a glove. It's one of the best TV show theme songs ever. I rate it in my top five, with the themes for Maude, The Love Boat, Gimme a Break! and Cheers.
