why did he always wear a tie? I've watched some of the episodes again recently but not all. I don't remember him not wearing a tie. Was it because he wanted to look presentable, or was it just his style, or was it just that he had to wear a tie because of the job? Has anyone else wondered about this?

In early episodes (particularly the 7-episode first season), he often wore sweater vests with a tie. But gradually, as the series wore on, he began wearing long-sleeved sweaters and ties more often.
