we don't have enough road to get up to 88

I have just come to realise when Marty says in the classic closing sequence "Doc, you need to back up, we don't have enough road to get up to 88" they actually have tons of road with what amounts to a drag strip in front of them stretching for miles.

It can be noted a car in the distance suggests there may be an intersection but it’s not a Rolls Royce so of course this does not count:)

They dont need roads because the car flies now.

Doc; "Let's set the timer to December 3, 2019"

Marty; "Doc, what happens in December 2019?"

Doc; "People can comment freely about movies ONLINE, they nitpick every concievable error to show you how smart they are!"

Marty; "Yeah doc (yawns) sounds great.."

He made a bogus statement. Remember, Doc dropped him off a day or 2 earlier, and did a jump right on the street.

After watching the clip, there does seem to be plenty of room. If they can hit 88 MPH in a parking lot, that should be easy in the space they have.

I think it's easy to overlook as a viewer, because although there's enough distance, they are on a residential street with cars parked by the curb on both sides. Based on the visual of their situation, the viewer would intuitively realize that's not an appropriate setting for an 88 MPH run.

What's with you people? Either you capitalize EVERY word in your title, or NONE of them.

Could you PLEASE learn correct capitalization? This makes you look like you don't know how to write words.

The stupid, tacked-on ending has SO many problems, implications, plotholes, nonsensical crap, etc. that 'whether they have 'enough road' or not is one of the SMALLEST problems' that should only be talked about after EVERYTHING BIGGER has been solved.
