Did James Horner reuse his music for 48 hours in this movie?

The music is almost identical in the two movies (and also used in (Another 48 hours). Anyone else notice this?

I noticed. Those steel drums though.

Harold Faltermeyer did the same thing with Beverly Hills Cop & Fletch. Just changed a coupla notes here and there.

To add to that, Alan Silvestri reused and reworked some of his cues from Back to the Future for Predator.

I noticed that as well.

He also used a very similar sound in both Gorky Park (1983) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kbq2Zpcbe0 and Red Heat (1988) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snUehA6b4R0.

Never heard of Gorky Park... just added it to my watchlist.

Love James Horner's soundtracks, and it looks like it's a favorably rated film, so it seems worth the watch!
