I worked on the movie...

ok, on a whim, I jumped on the boards here and I see pages and pages of the same questions. Let me clear some of them up. First of all, that is NOT Cyndi Lauper who receives a flyer. Ironically, that girl was one of the assistants to the "extras" casting director. Cyndi Lauper (or her record label) would not allow her version of the song to be sang, so she certainly wasn't going to be hanging around the set! That is NOT Bruce Willis on the drums. And yes, that is Robert Downey Jr that jumps up from the table, who at the time was dating Sarah Jessica Parker. He was on the set quite a bit and would star in the director Alan Metter's next film Back to School. Sarah was 19 and a nice quiet girl. Her rise to super stardom was a nice surprise. Helen Hunt was 20 and a bit distant. Mature for her age. 20 going on 40. Lee Montgomery was the nicest guy you would ever hope to meet. Very friendly and outgoing.. VERY handsome and very married. He was 24 at the time. All of us girls were jealous of his wife who was a real sweetheart. He was the one I thought was going to be the household name. His heart wasn't in it. He actually loved music. Jonathan Silverman was a great guy as well. Super nice. He was 18. It was his first film he was in and he was known for his Broadway lead in Brighton Beach Memoirs. In mid production, the film was having issues and New World Pictures brought in Robert F. Lyons to fix the film and get it back on track. He did. He is responsible for the film we see today. He was given a producers credit for his work. Hope this helps!!!!

Wow, thanks so much for the trivia.

:)

Anything else you can add? Sorry, but this is one of my favourite childhood movies and I'd love to know more.

Lol I just finished watching the film for the first time and I thought the guy on the drums looked a lot like Bruce Willis. Apparently I'm not the only one. I didn't notice RDJ though :/
