Of all movies that get remade poorly I think this needs a well done update.

Agreed. Some movies just don't warrant remakes. This was a great movie and can be considered a great classic from the eighties, but needs to remain untouched.

By remake you mean ruined.
If good remakes existed I would agree but I've not seen a good one for many years.

The biggest appeal of this movie is the eighties look and vibe - there's no way to remake that now.
