super movie with feminist sentiments! awesome!

BILLIE JEAN IS SUPER MOVIE! It’s editing and cinematography and shots are straight out of a school textbook but it is such an awesome feminist film!!!! IT is also a FEELGOOD MOVIE!!! Cool soundtrack too. And how the girls and kids do it! And the hair – symbolic - represents. Man! Plus finally the teens get understanding with authorities!

Yes! Billie Jean also taught us how to harness the power of the media and appeal to a target audience, in a time before facebook, twitter, and imdb! ;) That's no small feat, yo. And, although she was running from the law, she was able to remain honest and keep her integrity (even leaving IOUS for the stolen merchandise when she could have just as easily stolen) and help people along her journey (the kid in the house with the abusive father). With respect to the authorities, Billie Jean was a good communicator. She immediately reached out to the police and told them what happened, when Binx's scooter was stolen, then again to turn herself in, and the authorities messed it up both times. She was intuitive (knowing Mr. Piot did NOT pay for the motor scooter and demanding to know who did). She was also a good friend. It was obvious she really cared about Putter and Ophelia.

Further, Billie Jean did not over-reach. She always stayed with the goal of getting the motor scooter repaired. Even when she found out Mr. Piot had been profiting off of her, she never asked for more than she originally wanted. Fair is fair!

Of course, the best part of the movie was letting everyone know what a total scumbag Mr. Piot really was, and then delivering a strategic knee kick right to his package. Ha ha! *Nelson points at Mr. Piot*
