This movie only sucked because someone wanted Tina turner?

Master blaster was great. What else was good to you fans or this movie? I see now Army of darkness was lifted from the character. Or is it just me.

I haven't seen this since I was very small and tbh, I quite like it.

To me, it plays great until he meets the kids. Then, depending on my mood, I either like the rest of don't. I've seen it so many times now I can never really make up my mind.

hell, I couldn't stop looking at Tina Turner..:)

It sucked for a lot more reasons than her. The music, the writing, the directing, and the acting all come to mind.

I liked the Wheel of Fate and the orphans. The big road fight on the train track was surprisingly unengaging. Turner was terrible but not as bad as most of the rest of the acting.

I remember when this movie was only a few months away from coming out. In some magazine interview with Mel, he stated "The movie is a piece of shit. Don't print that." Couple months later, turned out he was right.

You just listed all the best bits!

I don't mind the kids and the music, but the only chase is a major let down. This is the only Mad Max movie where Max doesn't drive anything. The cars are terrible, nobody dies in a violent manner and it's filmed like a kid's movie at this point. It's a shame because the first half of the movie was good.

It's got a lower classification, 15 instead of the X for 1&2. I'm assuming that with Tina Turner (one of the biggest stars at that time) and the softer story they were going for a different audience. Which made it the weakest of the trilogy IMHO but still watchable.

she's barely in the movie. she's not the problem.
