were there two actors who played Blaster? *Spoilers*

*Spoilers*

If you pay close attention during the Blaster head reveal scene, you see that there isn't one long shot going from his body to his face (it's broken in two) and the shot where he's hit with arrows looks like a fake torso anyway. This leads me to believe that either his body (or his face) is just a double. This seems pretty likely as I doubt any Down's Syndrome case as severe as his would be able to cut such a chiseled physique.

But they only credit one man (Paul Larson) as Blaster. Do you think he played the body or the face? My guess is just the body as they wanted to be sensitive to the mentally handicapped actor who stepped in for just the face closeups...

I just finished the trilogy tonight and pretty much thought the same thing, a body actor and a close-up actor. Either made-up or truly Down's-type features.

The actor credited, Paul Larsson is also credited as a security guard in "Altered States", so I assume he's an average-looking, built guy. I have "AS" but I don't feel like going through it now to find his scene!

He's not the same "Benno" from MM1 as suggested in the "Why spare Blaster?" thread. But great plot twist I thought, I didn't expect it.

Paul Larrson played the body of "Blaster" but for the close-ups of his face it was the actor who played Corky on Life Goes On in an uncredited role.

Just in case someone believes it, that is not true.

I wondered who was used for the closeup of Blaster's face. The actor goes uncredited. I have no idea if the actor from Life Goes On was used or not.

It would have been awesome if Max had said "Oh look, it's Corky!" when Blaster's face was revealed.
