I would imagine so since he did end up with that blonde at the end of The Road Warrior.
I just wish Max had said, "Partners!" or something hinting at it/ connecting their previous encounter.

George Miller says it's a different character.

It’s ridiculous to critique a movie with the argument 'it's not real, so it doesn't matter'

I'm sure everyone has wondered about this. I always assumed they were 2 different characters despite both driving a plan and looking nearly identical. But it's confusing nonetheless. Miller really should have gave him a different look or cast someone else. At least Toecutter and Immortan Joe look completely different (and Toecutter clearly died).

They are different. Miller has said as much and the teeth are a dead giveaway.
