The last madmax was made 24 yrs ago when special effects still sucked. I think it would be very interesting to see what they could do since movie technology is where it is today. Or even a madmax reboot would be cool since they seem to be remaking every other movie these days.

Because it was made 24 years ago, special effects don't suck. Only thing that suck is your primitive brain. For example. Terminator 2 was made more than 16 years ago. If you compare that old movie with 100 sci-fi action movies ( T3 also ) that are made in last 9 years you'll see that oldy is much much better with ,,primitive effects '' remaking movies from 50s or 60s is alright but remaking Mad Max 3 ( or any other ) is more than a stupid idea.

Just watched the first and second one..i think a re-make would be interesting (now wait before you jump on my ass). I say this because..
1. For the sake of OP, the special effects will most possibly be better.
2. Im always a fan of re-makes. It is always cool to see what other directors have in mind for a story. And how they want to portray the story. If you don't like the re-made version, don't watch it, ignore it, it isn't going to bother you i assure you.
3. Lots could be done with this movie, lots. enough said.

shareThose kind of stunts are still possible with a budget, not everything has to be CGI, your just stuck with this idea that once CGI is involved, that it means everything is CGI? wrong. Look at Deathproof for example, there is like no CGI in that, and is still a kick ass movie.
Im more thinking along the lines of cinematography, better wardrobe and what not.

There's nothing wrong with CG, used properly. And, Miller has a good history of that, I think.

Seriously though, the thing that's great about mad max 1 and 2 is that they were made using real cars, real people and in a real location, not blue screens and computer effects.
The problem with modern effects-filled movies is that computers have no soul but unfortunately just removing the effects does not inject more soul - as evidenced by DeathProof which was IMHO an over-long ego outing for Mr Tarantino.
