Yes, "The sooper,dooper,looper was required to save Patch and Joe.

A reason isn't needed ok :)

I know what you mean. Just watched it and they had to fly under Patch to do the looper anyway. Seems a bit redundant.

It would have actually slowed them down. I never questioned this as a kid though.

They had to do something to help out this lame excuse for a Christmas movie. What a let down the movie was.

Actually even that wasn't necessary. Since they could teleport at will, he could have just teleported when he realized the car was in trouble.

That whole scene was dumb though I liked the rest of the movie. How did they even survive the explosion anyway?
