It's because those presents were lame presents compared to Transformers, Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Thundercats, He-Man, Atari, Nintendo, Walkman's, Jem, Barbies, Cabbage Patch Dolls, Speak & Spells, Tobar, Rubik's Cube, Lite Brite, Stompers, Red Rider BB Guns, Voltron, Merlin, Simon, View Master, Teddy Ruxpin, Care Bears, Rainbow Brite, Smurfs, Garbage Pail Kids, Photon Laser Tag, Micro Machines, Creepy Crawlers, Snoopy's Snowcone Machine, Gobots, Etch A Sketch, Stretch Armstrong, My Little Pony, Shrinky Dinks, Zoids, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Home computer games like King's Quest, Mr Mouth, Electronic Football Basketball & Baseball, Mighty Men & Monster Maker, Monster Machine, Spirograph, Legos, Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots, See N Say, Big Trak, Little Professor Calculator, commordore 64 and so many others in the 80s. Santa needed to get with the program, it wasn't the 1800's anymore.
