What grade are they suppose to be in and how old are they like i know micheal is 17 but how old are debbie and toni are they older?

shareThe movie takes place the summer before their senior year. Debbie & Toni right be slightly older, but they're all roughly around the same age.
shareAfter their date Debbie tells Michael she's never gone w/ somebody in the same grade... so about the same age.
