Who else saw this on video as a kid?

I did about 22 years ago when i was 10 as i loved that Toxic Crusaders toon (remember?)as i had some of the stuff to that show and was curious to see the movie that started it all as i rented the movie from one of my city's video stores as it was unrated and uncut and MY GOD it was shocking stuff like dogs getting shot, a kid getting his skull crushed in detail, stomach ripping, drug use, sex etc. but i thought it was an awesome movie despite that horrifying scene where the kid gets his skull crushed.

I wasn't a kid, but I was 13 when I first saw this movie. I thankfully found the unrated cut and it was quite shocking. I never expected anything like what it delivered because the box gives no warning like the title card at the start of the film does. I just had my mother rent it because it looked like an off beat take on super heroes.

Because of this movie, I saw the Toxic Crusaders cartoon and got the Marvel comics of Toxie and Crusaders.

It's too bad the sequels are nowhere near as good as the first movie.

I did. Thought it was wicked funny then. Watching now on El Rey Channel. Remembering the 80s workout scene in particular in the opening bits in the health club. So corny but funny.

I still recall the scene where the Toxic Avenger foils the fast food holdup and of course the sex scene with the blind girl.

Saw this when I was like 9, my dad still laughs about it to this day saying, " I thought it was a kids movie you and your brother would like"
