Controversy

Apparently, many people (to this day) are very disturbed by the dog being shot. This really pisses me off. So a kid getting his *beep* head crushed is fine, but if a dog dies people flip shìt. Why do people always do that? Who cares if a human life is lost, just don't bring puppies into this. Damn people are stupid.

Some people compare the killing of an animal (particularly domestic pets) to the killing of kids when on film....well, both happen in this movie, and I must say the image of the kid getting his head run over stuck with me far longer than the dog getting shot, and I prefer animals much more to children lol. Really, people feel an animal is defenseless and completely innocent, which is the case, however, it's the same case with the child on the bike, but fewer people may have as much sympathy. Why? Because it's a person and not a pet. Imagine if it was the dog getting rundown (twice) and the child getting shot....which would get more attention? Plus, the dog killing was campy in execution and looked/felt fake in comparison to the child's death. Sure, a lot looks fake in this film, but this film gets away with it under the grind-house guise, which adds to the entertainment. Think of the aftermath as well: The dog still breathing with fake spaghetti guts on top of it was a bit less effective than two hot chicks running up to a child's crushed head and taking pictures of it, to which one of them masturbates to later....

Yea, people are dumb.

It's not real. It's only a movie. A dog was not harmed in the making of this film, nor a child actually killed. It's a Troma release. You must have an open (or empty) mind and not be offended by what you see in this crap. I'm glad to see the sick *beep* that nobody else would put in a movie.

They don't "FLIP *beep* just harder to stomach seeing pets and babies killed on screen than it is seeing grown adults. I don't like seeing animals killed on screen and I don't think I'm stupid. I think we are just desensitized from the time we start watching tv to see violence against humans. It's just a normal thing. But, seeing the family dog murdered is shocking and disturbing to people like me who has dogs because we know how much they depend on us and how ignorant they are to things. The people in that scene acting are screaming and terrified but the dog is oblivious to the chaos. He is just an innocent guy who gets targeted by some sickos for whatever reason. I think it's the same with babies. It's that innocence they have that should be protected and not harmed in any way. It doesn't make the killings right or mean that we don't feel terrible for the human death scenes. It's just an innate feeling of wanting to protect the defenseless. I know this is common with people who have had pets their whole life. I have other friends who can't stand animal deaths in films. It's not like we are rooting on the killers to murder the humans. It just feels wrong to go for the pets and babies. I'll never feel differently about it.

But...the dog had spaghetti on it. It was breathing.

Some people truly believe an animal is worth more than human life. Those that do are demented.
