Sadly, they seem to be going for a "family friendly" version. Something far from Troma. I do agree though, if Arnold was a cop or Mayor and played it super over the top (Batman & Robin style) he would fit right into that niche.

It's sad that the atrocious Mother's Day from 2010 was the film that has created new interest in remaking other Troma films. That remake was the worst, and sets a really underwhelming precedent.

I wouldn't call the 'Mother's Day' remake "the worst", but it was pretty terrible. I do agree with everything else you said, and I thought Troma would be the only company safe from Hollywood remakes. Sigh. How much longer before they remake everything by FullMoon?
