Not that you're wrong, but just to add, there is material missing from the Deleted SCenes on the US dvd. The only example I can think of is the so-called "Lonely boy" scene, which I have scene at least once, on the edition used in the UK that I taped around 99-2000 on Bravo. A still of it appears in the recent "Toxic Avenger" novel. It occurs early in the film, between days at the Health Club...Melvin goes 'camping' on his own (at the "Miller's farm, seen later in the film) and spills soda on himself.

Unfortunately, it's not always manageable to get the cut that you want.

Kaufman has often mentioned that he never thought twice about keeping any of the original prints as he didn't dream that there would be something called DVD's and a fanbase craving special features.

The Toxic Avenger Director's Cut is just the R Rated Cut with the gore scenes intact. There might have been a lot of scenes that Kaufman felt while making it should be in the film but have since become lost in vaults and eventually just thrown out.

For example, the 'Lonely Boy' scene is something that has often been talked about.

The Japanese version of the Toxic Avenger has the scene when Belgoody is discussing the first scene with Toxie while playing golf. This was obviously something that was suppose to be in the movie, but was, for some reason, cut out before broguht to the MPAA.
