Ferris Bueller's Day Off made its network television premiere in May of 1989 on NBC. It was shown immediately after the airing of the series finale of Family Ties. Coincidentally enough, Michael J. Fox, who starred on that show, was just one of the actors originally considered for the part of Ferris Bueller.

I don't even know who Katherine Heigl is but you are automatically making me hate her when happiness is usually my default position.

Really? I literally watch the entire movie and have "what if" moment and thinking about Michael J Fox as Ferris Bueller. I glad I'm not the only one
