I know, man. That pesky Cameron is so full of himself... refusing to obey a person as awesome as Ferris. All Ferris wanted to do was show him a careless good time!
Kidding obviously. Ferris probably meant well, but he's someone who did things his way and always got what he wanted.

I do agree about the way he treated his friend. In fact, that part of the movie has always confused me. As someone who has spent a lifetime giving society the middle finger, I can tell you, society doesn't often let people like me be a boss of anything!

I'd point out that Cameron didn't want Ferris to.stick.around. I'd have also thought that Rooney would have been glad to.get rid of him!

In any case, Ferris did pretty good deeds in this movie; he released Cameron from his debilitating and oppressive fear that caused him to escape into victimhood by becoming a hypocondriac - now Cameron can live a healthy life with ACTUAL SPINE.
Basically, Ferris is a spine-creator.
