No, he didn't. No, they never even had that talk with his father. The movie ends before anything like that happens. Cameron is a fictional character, therefore, ONLY what the movie expresses happened to that character, the end. The movie hints at a future where the father and Cameron will have a talk, but we don't get to that point before the movie ends. Therefore, it never happened, so nothing happened to Cameron.
