Queen song lyrics for Princes of the Universe

You get to hear the full version in the movie as opposed to the tv series edit. While it is a cool rock song what the heck is up with the latter lyrics?

I'm a man, man that will go far,
Fly the moon and reach for the stars,
With my sword and head held high,
Got to pass the test first time, yeah.

I know that people talk about me
I hear it every day,
But I can prove you wrong
'cause I'm right first time,

Yeah. Yeah.
Alright, let's go, let's go, ha, ha
Yeah. Yeah.
Watch this man fly,
Bring on the girls,
Come on, come on, come on.

What test? What the hell is all this people talk about me talk? Honestly, just sounds like rambling that has nothing to do with Highlander.

All good things must come to an end - Chaucer

The test most likely refers to winning the prize / being the last immortal. The people talk about me refers to the fact that MacLeod / Nash keeps popping up over the centuries and normally becomes the object on someone's investigations / suspicions.

When you talk to God its called prayer...when God talks to you it's called schizophrenia...

The even weirder lyrics are Freddie Mercury saying "Bring on the girls"

Brian May is doing a guitar solo during that part, and those lyrics (and the girls 😁) are for him

Good call.

If I didn’t talk the way I talk I wouldn’t know who the hell I am, Sean Connery on his accent

Freddie was known to make up lyrics on spec in the studio. If they fit the music they were kept, hence "dancing girls".

Another good example it at the end of the song 'One Vision' Freddie sings "fried chicken" instead of "one vision". Great take and a bit of fun that made it to the final cut.
