4.5 rating on here, wow, i expected a lot lower, never understood the ha

te for this movie. it's always been one of the worst movies ever made. it has that reputation among everyone. it's been a popular thing to say it's one of the worst movies ever made ever since the '90s. which I never understood. I loved this film as a kid. the thing that really annoyed me was I felt it was wrong how it won worst picture at the Razzies. but then again so did Rambo 2 and so did Mommie Dearest and so did Hudson Hawk. Rambo 2 is one of the best films ever made, it's pretty much just as good as First Blood. and Mommie Dearest I thought was a great film, with Bette Davis. and Hudson Hawk has gotten an undeserved bad reputation for being a horrible film and one of the worst ever made but it's a blast. it's such a great, entertaining film.

now, I came to the conclusion that the Golden Raspberry Awards always either give nominations and awards to really bad movies or to movies that will give them popular press for giving their awards to them, considering Rambo 2 was a big, Hollywood film which was a great film. so sometimes, rarely they give awards and nominations to films that don't deserve them. also, sometimes they run out of options, because indecent proposal wasn't a bad movie and spice world wasn't bad movie and little nicky was one of the best adam sandler movies that I have ever seen and book of shadows: blair witch 2 I enjoyed. it's actually quite a well made movie that takes you on a weird trip. and wyatt earp can't be that bad and showgirls is one of the best films ever made. I know that sometimes they go for the movie that is going to make the golden raspberry awards popular by picking a movie with a bad reputation as being a bad movie.

conventional wisdom would tell you that howard the duck's rating on here should be at 3.0 or 3.5 or lower than 3.0, considering the fact that it's always been thought of as one of the worst movies ever made by the majority of people in the us. and this is especially unexpected considering the fact that most great films get way too low of ratings on here.

it doesnt deserve the low rating or hate, it was typical 80s fare is all. i think it holds up quite well too on a recent viewing and some hilarious bits to boot.
