I'm old enough to rock and roll!!!!!!!!

I saw this film for the first time 2 days ago on AMC, and it was surprisingly pretty good. It certainly has the "feel" of a classic. I like that absurd race at the beginning of the movie, and although I groaned at how fairly lame it was to see the kid strap on his tape player so he could jam out while flying (and in fact, EVERY time he flew, even in the simulator for God's sake), the song was a pretty catchy one. It's been in my head pretty much every day since then.

Great tune, and the ONLY one not on the soundtrack. It is available now on a single. It's interesting, some people liked all the music on the soundtrack and hated this one, and I felt this was the best song in the whole movie, and it fit the scene perfectly because it was made for it.

^ They left out Twisted Sister as well.

'Old enough to...' was definately one of the musical highlights of a great soundtrack, it's a shame it's not on the CD. I read on YouTube that Rainey Haines (the performer) refused to sell off the rights of the song for the soundtrack release. She released it for sale recently off her site after finding out how many people liked the song - the recordings hidden somewhere in her house. It's weird, 'cause I could swear when I first heard this song that someone famous sang it and that it was a massive hit. It has that quality.

I actually always thought the two Eric Martin (Mr Big) songs were equally good: 'These are the good times' and 'Eyes of the World' (the latter of which was once again not on the CD) - He went on to major success with "To Be With You".

I would get the soundtrack in an instant if it had the full song-list from the movie on it, as well as the original score by basil polidouris.

Pizza? Thin or Thick? Chicago.
