Play Queen; make up flying time?

As they're approaching the unnamed Arab country, Chappy complains that they're seven minutes behind schedule because of the refuel delay.

Doug says he has an idea. He puts on a Queen song, "One Vision." In the very next scene, Chappy exclaims they made up three minutes or so.

Can someone (seriously) explain how they managed to make up three minutes thanks to the Queen song? I'm not a pilot, and I never understood this.

I liked "Iron Eagle" as a teen. But it's become very dated for me since then.

Queen has performed many miracles- even making "Flash Gordon" almost tolerable as a movie.

Truthfully, there's no explanation other than the possibility that neither one of them can fly fast and talk at the same time. So by playing Queen, they shut up, listen to music and hence, fly faster.
Or maybe the harmonics of Queen songs lend to a higher output level of the jet engines.

I'm holding everyone to a higher standard- a standard much higher than my own

TVTropes has it down as the Theme Music Power Up... a common trope...

It makes even less sense in the context of this movie than it usually would. If they were driving ground vehicles across surface streets hearing some bad ass rock music might make the driver act more daring and hence they might get there faster. Same thing if they were on foot; for example I don't think it's possible to hear the theme from "Rockey" while doing physical activity and not push yourself harder. But by this point they are flying jet fighters in a straight line to their target. If you need to get there faster you just increase your airspeed, that's it; that's the only way to do it.
