Madonna as Barbara?!?! No way!
I find it hard to imagine that Madonna was first signed to play Barbara but left due to artistic differences. Bette Midler was made for this role! She knocked this performance out of the park. Can you imagine Madonna delivering any of her lines in any funny way? She's not a comedienne. Thank god Bette was brought on board, because this is one of my favorite movies from the 80s.
