This movie deserves a sequel
This movie has got to be the funniest movie ever and I would love to see Bette Midler as the obnoxious Barbara Stone in a sequel!! Who else agrees?

As much as loved this movie and I DID love this movie...a sequel would be pointless and senseless. The story was told in the first film and it is over. Leave it alone as the classic it is.
shareI have only found two exceptions to this rule: I thought SUPERMAN II was as good as the first one and I thought SHREK II was just as good as the first one, but other than that...

I agree, no sequel for Ruthless People -- it would stink.
It's been over twenty years now. Which means someone's thinking about doing a remake. You KNOW they are.

The Hangover was funny, but The Hangover 2 was basically the same movie, different country. Horrible sequel. Only three movies were good as sequels. The Godfather 2,(Not 3 awful) the three original Star Wars and the three Raiders of the lost Ark movies. Rocky 2 was pretty good but then they ruined it after 3, 4, 5 etc...
