Am I Supposed to Admire Ken and Sandy

--who commit kidnapping and extortion--because they are vegetarians who eat tofu burgers?
That touch of mojigateria=sanctimoniousness comes across as harsh and discordant as Bette Midler hitting a false note.

You are supposed to like them but for reasons that have nothing to do with what you have written.

I know; the De Vito character is a real pendejo=a---e.
But man is not meant to survive on vegetables alone! The Eskimos don't exactly have a big choice of greens in the lands where they live.

reply

Well, they weren't eskimos and had lots of choice. Just as many people who are vegetarians nowadays and live pretty healthy. You seem to be too anti other people's choices if it bothers you, lol. I didn't even notice they were vegetarians. Although it does make sense when one thinks how careful he was about that spider. I think its not to make them admire but to show them as people who even have trouble hurting animals so we can see how they don't plan to kill the wife.

I had the bad luck of eating tofu burgers; they are absolutely LETHAL.

@HijodelCid I don't think we're supposed to admire Ken and Sandy so much as be sympathetic towards them. And it's not because they're vegetarians, but because they were nice people who got ripped off by Stone and wanted to get even. They're certainly the most sympathetic kidnappers I've ever seen.

reply

Yes, you are.
