Common Misquote?

I recently re-watched this movie, and had not seen it since I was a teenager. Throughout my life, my friends and I have quoted the movie as:

:Would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?
:Yes, El Gupo. I would say you have many plethora of pinatas.

This was always the joke in my mind. We laughed at the fact that he used the adjective "many" with plethora. And yet, this doesn't seem to be what is said in the actual movie.

Was there ever a different version where this was said? Where did we get this mis-quote from? Did anyone else ever hear this and believe it was part of the movie?

Plese let me know.

These are the lines, it's easy to see how you got the quotes mixed up...

Jefe: I have put many beautiful pinatas in the storeroom, each of them filled with little surprises.

El Guapo: Many pinatas?

Jefe: Oh, yes, many!

El Guapo: Would you say I have a plethora of pinatas?

Jefe: A what?

El Guapo: A plethora.

Jefe: Oh, yes, you have a plethora.

The most misquoted line ever is without a doubt "Luke I am your father." You do realize that was never said right?

no... the joke was simply that El Guapo catches that guy not knowing the word.... I don't recall anything about the word "many" being the crux of the joke.

It was never a hilarious sequence in the first place, but it was memorable because it was such an odd exchange... you dont' expect your villains giving vocabulary lessons.
