Magnificent Seven

What are some of the similarities between the two movies? And what are some of the lines used in both?

The entire movie is a spoof of The Magnificent Seven

a lot of the scenes and set pieces come from the movie... but not really the dialog

same plot, same set, same soundtrack.. the town in trouble (which is the same town by the way), large gang of bandits, American saviors, the campfire scene, the party scene, setting up traps in the village to catch the bandits, they leave the town and come back, hiding their numbers, travelling to the hideout, the cat who's ill w/ the quickdraw, big shootout scene...

Three Amigos is basically a comedy remake of The Magnificent Seven.. the only difference (other than the comedy) is the shiny costumes and the Germans.. there's more character stories and drama in Seven too as it's a more serious film ...and there's no singing bush

...oh, yeah... some of the village boys tells a character that they drew straws to be the one to put the flowers on his grave (reminds me of "Can I have your watch when you are dead")

Why do people persist in promoting the myth that the Three Amigos was filmed in the same Mexican town as The Magnificent Seven? This falsehood has even made it, unchallenged, into the Trivia section for this film.

The two films share no locations whatsoever - the locations' respective topographies don't even resemble each other. The Magnificent Seven was filmed entirely in Mexico, both studio interiors and location exteriors; Amigos was filmed almost entirely in Hollywood, with a couple of exteriors at Old Tucson, Arizona and one in Simi Valley.

Check the actual locations listed on the films' respective imdb pages for more accurate info than can be found on the trivia page.
