Here I Go Again

According to Wikipedia, Chevy Chase fell out a friendship with Steve Martin during production and the two never really got along again until the early 2000s. How is that so? In 1990, the two were in a Paul Simon video "Proof." They play poker together all the time. According to a Playboy interview, Steve and his then-wife Victoria Tennant were witnesses to Chevy's wife, Jayni, telling Chevy that Chevy's nemesis Rex Reed was around in 1988. Chevy gets together with Martin Short all the time and Steve is their close mutual friend. I see Chevy pose with Steve and Marty all the time, more so than any other co-star he's worked with. He says he had the most fun on "The Three Amigos."

Ten years later, Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, and Diane Keaton, to me, would prove to be the perfect female trio that would serve foil to "The Three Amigos." Yes, "The First Wives Club" are the female version of "The Three Amigos," although that movie appeals to adults more than "Three Amigos." Likewise, Goldie says she's had the most fun with this movie. I feel that Goldie, Bette, Diane, Chevy, Steve, and Marty can all get along and I can easily imagine Goldie inviting these five friends to get-togethers. I do see Goldie pose with Steve and Marty as well as the other three friends.

Here is where they say that Chevy is difficult and Goldie is easy, but I know he likes Steve and Marty a lot. I just cringe when I read or hear that. I've seen a pic where Chevy did get invited to Bette's Hulaween in recent years. He says that he and Goldie are still good friends, although there haven't been recent pics of the two of them. Goldie and Bette are both sensitive, so Chevy has to be doing something right. I didn't see "Ellie Parker," but I read that Diane Keaton got a special thanks, and Chevy was involved in the movie. And I keep blogging that my sister's hairdresser had a lengthy, funny, and friendly conversation with Chevy when she met him, and she lucked out. It would make no sense that the other five would want to discard Chevy from the group.
